For the 2nd year in a row, Training for Change has raised money with a Social Justice hair salon. They get a decent percentage of people coming in just from viewing a flier, so I wanted something eye-catching but not too "activist-y" to turn off people who just want a haircut, or who aren't moved by activist aesthetics. I thought a 50s theme fit well with the idea of spending a Saturday in a salon.
